The purpose of this essay to my knowledge would be that we are to pick an article related to the topic we are studying and summarize it in our own words. This essay should be typed and worded in a way that an academic audience can understand and know exactly what our argument is presenting. Also we should be making sure the article has logos, pathos, and ethos in it and stating what they are somewhere in our essay. After we present the summary to or audience we are to analyze someone's view point and then present the main idea to our audience. We are also to analyze the rhetoric or argument of the article and state if the argument convinced us and state why or why not it did. Therefore we are also not to use any of the articles we are reading for the class but can use them to help us pick articles or use them to help us understand how to analyze the article we have chosen to use.
